WHAT DO YOU VALUE?
Addressing the devaluation of women, one life at a time.
Addressing the devaluation of women, one life at a time.
“Discovering Your Value” is a fun, interactive learning system developed by Present Age Ministries and a team of Subject Matter Experts. The purpose of DYV is to provide prevention and early intervention to female adolescents. The Learning System encourages players to interact by answering questions, evaluate scenarios and engage in team challenges to accumulate game incentives. With OVER-SIZED pieces, participants move around the board and collaborate to answer tough questions, formulate solution strategies, uncover strengths and share best practices.
This curriculum addresses the cultural devaluation of women and identifies topics such as: Relationship, Self-Image, Cultural Influences, Sexual Integrity, Dreams/Future and more. By targeting root issues that are influential of many plaguing issues (including sexual abuse, teen pregnancy, and early dropout), we are confident that participants will walk away empowered to reevaluate and make positive choices.
Discovering your Value Curriculum is created for adolescent females in Middle and High School. Areas of interaction include: Public & Private Schools, Church Groups, Recreation Centers, Community Groups, Detention Centers, Group Homes, Etc.
Facilitators are trained and authorized to conduct DYV Learning System sessions through Present Age Ministries. Sessions can be conducted individually, in a series, or in correlation with our 8-Week Curriculum.
Every participant completes a POST-SURVEY which captures de-identifiable information for research purposes. Facilitators should allocate 10 minutes at the end of a session for surveys.
Surveys are anonymous and provide critical information on our teens
Surveys entry is available online (digitally) or by paper. Paper completion requires Facilitator to input data electronically.

Participants complete a post-survey anonymously. We are able to capture basic demographics, as well as information regarding ACE indicators. This information will help us in three manners:
Data collected will identify strengths and weaknesses within each community. With students self-reporting needs, in a safe environment, we can connect needs with services. This information will also give us clear insight to community demands, and where gaps are apparent.
Understanding how the adolescent development process occurs in partnership with how traumatic events effect that development is critical. The post-survey data will outline specific Adverse Childhood Experiences that the participants are facing. This information can be shared to help inform program development.
A study in Minnesota showed that a benefit cost analysis of providing preventative and early intervention methods could be quantified at $34 to $1. For every $1 we spend on preventative measures for young adolescent females, at risk for sexual abuse/trafficking, we will save taxpayers $34 (due to increase costs for legal, social health, medical cost, etc.).
